NOC Intelligence
NOC Intelligence is Lexpoint’s per-role briefing for a five-digit NOC. One scrollable page covers the labour market for that occupation in a Canadian region, the official ESDC boundary, what the work is like (OaSIS), which programs list the code, and — for work history — whether an employment letter supports the job you claimed.
It is not an IRCC assessment. Market figures come from published ESDC / Job Bank series; letter and fit results are advisory.

How to open it
Section titled “How to open it”- Open Profile → Work Experience or Profile → Job Offers.
- On a row that already has a NOC, open actions and choose NOC Intelligence →.
- The page title is NOC {code} Intelligence.
Breadcrumbs read Work experience → NOC Intelligence (or Job offers).
Page map
Section titled “Page map”Sections appear in this order on a Pro work-history page. Job offers omit letter & NOC fit. Free accounts see the wage teaser, then an upgrade wall and blurred previews of what Pro unlocks.

Compare market (Pro) sits in the identity bar. It switches the economic region for wages, demand, outlook, and LMIA without changing the job record. Foreign work defaults to Ottawa so you can browse a Canadian market without comparing foreign pay to Job Bank.
Wage position
Section titled “Wage position”For Canadian work, Lexpoint places your claimed hourly wage on the Job Bank band for the selected region (low / median / high) and can compare to the province. For foreign work, the band is the selected Canadian region only — no “your wage sits in…” comparison against foreign pay.
Free accounts see this section as a teaser; Pro keeps the full instrument and unlocks everything below.
Wage trend
Section titled “Wage trend”
Pro shows how the low–median–high band moved across recent vintages for this NOC in the selected region (for example median up while the top of the band fell). Use it to see whether the market is tightening or spreading — not as a personal raise forecast.
Local demand
Section titled “Local demand”Local demand is monthly Job Bank posting counts for this NOC in the selected region’s economic area. The headline is the latest month’s open postings; the sparkline shows the recent series. Scope may note when figures are wider than a single town.
Employment outlook
Section titled “Employment outlook”Employment outlook is ESDC’s published three-year rating for this occupation in the selected region (for example limited, moderate, good — wording matches ESDC). Lexpoint shows the horizon years and a short note on where that rating sits among ESDC’s scale. Undetermined is a real published rating when ESDC did not assign a stronger one — not a Lexpoint gap.
LMIA activity and employers
Section titled “LMIA activity and employers”
Two related surfaces:
| Piece | What it shows |
|---|---|
| LMIA positions summary (beside outlook) | Count of approved TFWP LMIA positions for this NOC in the region scope, plus decision count and quarter range. |
| Employers approved for NOC … | Named employers from positive LMIA decisions, with period and position counts. Toggle local vs province scope. Personal names are omitted. |
These are published employer-list / decision aggregates for that NOC — not a statement that any employer will hire you, and not an immigration approval.
Employment letter and NOC fit (work history only)
Section titled “Employment letter and NOC fit (work history only)”One document answers two questions: is the letter strong enough to prove the job, and do the duties match the NOC you claimed?

| Plane | What it asks |
|---|---|
| Employment letter | Checklist items grounded in the uploaded letter (and typed guide fields Lexpoint extracts). |
| NOC fit | Main duties overlap, education, prior work, licence lines, language floor, and wage vs published low — reported as fit strength, not a false confidence percentage. |
Select Add employment letter, or Replace letter and Re-check once one is assessed. Results stay on the page (#letter-fit).
Immigration pathways
Section titled “Immigration pathways”
Coverage means the occupation rule in Lexpoint’s catalogue includes that NOC. It does not mean you meet language, funds, residency, or other criteria. Expand provinces or List all … streams for the full matrix. Advice on whether a pathway fits you belongs on immigratic.com or a consultation.
NOC definition (ESDC)
Section titled “NOC definition (ESDC)”
Titles under the code and Not this code exclusions come first so you can see the boundary. Read the official ESDC definition opens verbatim duties and employment requirements (NOC 2021). Nothing in that disclosure is paraphrased.
Occupational profile (OaSIS)
Section titled “Occupational profile (OaSIS)”
OaSIS (Statistics Canada / ESDC occupational layer) describes what the work is like — not whether your claim is correct:
- A short lead statement for the profile
- Interest (Holland) cards when available
- Work-context meters on a five-point scale (responsibility, consequence of error, decision freedom, and related ratings)
- A footnote that the underlying model spans proficiency, knowledge, and complexity descriptors
OaSIS is occupational character (useful for HR / LMIA / work-permit context). It is not an IRCC score.
Occupational neighbours
Section titled “Occupational neighbours”Below OaSIS, Lexpoint lists occupations with a similar Skills and Work Activities fingerprint (or an OaSIS similarity band, depending on the profile). Each row shows TEER, NOC code, and often how many catalogue programs list that neighbour.
A neighbour with more programs is not a reason to reclassify yourself. A different NOC only applies if your actual duties match it.
Your employer
Section titled “Your employer”On Canadian work history with an employer name, Pro shows that name and notes that corporate registry / integrity matching is still shipping. Foreign roles show that employer registry detail is for Canadian work history only. Empty employer names prompt you to add one on the job form.
Sources
Section titled “Sources”The footer (#sources) names the series behind the numbers: Job Bank wages (vintage and history),
Job Bank monthly postings, ESDC employment outlook horizon, TFWP LMIA lists, ESDC NOC 2021, OaSIS,
and Lexpoint’s program catalogue. Prefer that line when you need to cite what you are looking at.

Frequently asked questions
Where do I open NOC Intelligence?
On Work experience or Job offers, open the actions for a role that has a NOC, then choose NOC Intelligence.
Is this an IRCC decision?
No. Letter checks and NOC fit are advisory. Program coverage means the occupation rule lists that NOC — not that you meet language, funds, or residency. Outlook and LMIA figures are published labour-market data, not an approval.
What is free versus Pro?
Free accounts can open the page and see wage position for the role’s region. Pro unlocks wage trend, local demand, employment outlook, LMIA employers, programs, ESDC definition, OaSIS, neighbours, region compare, and — on work history only — employment letter and NOC fit.
Why is there no letter section on a job offer?
Employment letter and NOC fit are for work you have already done. Job-offer NOC Intelligence is the labour-market and program story for that offer’s NOC.
What does Compare market change?
On Pro it switches the economic region used for wages, demand, outlook, and LMIA scope so you can preview another Canadian market. Your home region stays on the Clear control.
