Language tests

Each sitting of a test is one record at Profile → Language Tests. The form has three sections: Test, Details, and Scores.

You enter raw band scores. Lexpoint derives the CLB.

Section 1 — Test

The section closes with the rule that decides which test Lexpoint uses: Your test with the highest overall CLB is marked primary for CRS automatically.

Section 2 — Details

Section 3 — Scores

Four fields — Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking — all required. The accepted range and step change with the test you chose:

The CLB preview

As soon as all four scores are filled in, a CLB preview panel appears showing an Overall CLB figure and the CLB for each of the four skills.

Lexpoint converts each raw score to a CLB level using the table for that test — for TEF, the table for the period you selected — and sets your overall CLB to the lowest of the four. One weak skill therefore sets your overall level regardless of how strong the other three are.

The list

Tests are shown as a timeline, newest test date first. The line under the Language heading reads N tests · N English · N French · highest CLB N, and the All, English, and French filters narrow the list.

Each row shows the test month and overall CLB, the test type, and a caption with the language, Primary on the test with the highest overall CLB, and Expires {month} while the result is still current. A row can carry one chip:

Chip	What it means
Expired	The record’s expiry date has passed.
Invalid	The record is flagged as not valid.
Scores missing	No overall CLB could be worked out.

Selecting a row opens a panel with the Test and CLB details and Edit record →. The More actions menu offers Edit and Delete; deleting asks Are you sure you want to delete this language test?

Adding and editing

1. Open Profile → Language Tests.
2. Select Add Language Test.
3. Work through Test, Details, and Scores with Continue. Save on the last section adds the test.
4. To change a test, choose Edit from its More actions menu.

Saving changes shows Language test updated! Your Immireport will refresh within 24 hours. The report is recalculated separately, not at the moment you save. See How your profile is used.
