Privacy and your data
Your data controls live at Settings → Privacy & data. The page has two cards: Your résumé, a PDF built from your profile, and Remove my profile, which is covered in Deleting your account.
Your résumé
Section titled “Your résumé”The résumé is not a second copy of your profile. It is built from the records you already keep, so a professional summary and your immigration file stay in step. The card shows a few of its facts (for example 4 jobs, 12.8 years, Highest: Master’s, English CLB 9) so you can check them before you download.
- Download PDF saves the file. The button reads Preparing… while the PDF is built.
- Preview opens the same PDF in a new tab. Preview and Download share one build, so pressing both does not build it twice.
- Update your profile → takes you to your profile to fix anything missing or wrong.
You can also download the résumé from Profile, with Download résumé in the title row.
The card’s buttons appear once your profile has a first or last name, or at least one job, school, or certificate. Otherwise the card reads Add your work or education first with a link Add work →.
What the PDF shows
Section titled “What the PDF shows”- Header: your name, your latest job and its NOC, your email, phone and place of residence, an Identity verified badge once your identity check has passed, and, if you live in Canada, your status in Canada as you entered it (marked Self-declared).
- Summary: years of work (and how many in Canada), hours worked (estimated from your dates and weekly hours), your highest education, and your best CLB.
- Career at a glance: a strip of your work and study over time, drawn to scale.
- Work experience: each job, newest first, with its dates, length, weekly hours and NOC.
- Education: each school, with the ECA you entered. Languages: the best current test in English and in French, with the CLB for each skill. Licences and certificates.
- Footer on every page: what the marks mean, the date it was prepared, the page number, and Powered by the Lexpoint logo.
Each job and school carries a mark:

The résumé is a summary of what is in your profile. It is not an assessment and not a job offer.
A full copy of your data
Section titled “A full copy of your data”At the bottom of the page, Ask us for your data opens a support request. Lexpoint replies within 30 days with a copy of everything it holds about you.
Who can see your data
Section titled “Who can see your data”A copy of your data tells you what Lexpoint holds. It does not tell you who else can reach it. That is a separate question, and the one most worth checking. Every organization, partner, household member, and shared link with access to your file is listed at Access and sharing.

Frequently asked questions
Is the résumé a second document I have to keep up to date?
No. Lexpoint builds it from your profile each time you press Download PDF or Preview. Edit a job, school, language test or certificate on your profile and the next PDF matches.
What do "Verified", "Document reviewed" and "Self-declared" mean on the résumé?
Verified means Lexpoint confirmed it: your identity check passed, or your employer confirmed the job through Lexpoint. Document reviewed means you accepted Lexi's reading of the employment letter on file. Everything else is Self-declared: you entered it. Most facts are self-declared today.
Where did the Excel and JSON export go?
Lexpoint no longer offers it, here or on the profile pages. For a full copy of everything Lexpoint holds about you, use Ask us for your data at the bottom of Privacy & data.
Does the résumé show my immigration status?
Only if you live in Canada: it shows your status in Canada as you entered it on your profile (for example Work permit holder), marked Self-declared. If your status is Other, nothing is shown. It never includes uploaded documents, case files, family members, job offers or income.
