What your employer can see
A workforce connection gives your employer a narrow, named set of facts. This page lists all of them, in the order the product loads them, and says plainly what is left out.
The short version: your employer sees who you are, whether Lexpoint has verified your identity, when your work permit expires, and the employment facts they recorded about you themselves. They do not see your immigration profile, your ImmiReport, your documents, your consultations, or any case.
The two consent scopes
Section titled “The two consent scopes”When you accept a workforce invitation, two scopes are recorded on the connection. They are not
chosen by you or by your employer — the server writes both, as a fixed pair, on every acceptance
under the current consent version (workforce_v3).
| Scope | What it unlocks |
|---|---|
employer_servicing | The employer may act on your employment relationship in Lexpoint: keep your employment record, and prepare and issue letters you request. Without this, nothing about you loads in the employer workspace at all. |
roster_visibility | You appear on the employer’s workforce list, and your worker page opens. Without this, the connection exists but the employer workspace shows you nothing. |
Both must be true, and the connection status must be active, before the employer workspace
will load a single field about you. If any one of the three fails, the load returns nothing — there
is no partial view.
Exactly what loads
Section titled “Exactly what loads”This is the complete set of fields the employer workspace reads about you.
From your account
Section titled “From your account”| Field | Where it comes from | Note |
|---|---|---|
| First and last name | Your account | Falls back to your email address if no name is set |
| Email address | Your account | The address you sign in with |
| Profile photo | Your account | Only if you have set one |
| Identity-verification status | Your account | Whether Lexpoint has verified your identity — the status only, never the documents you verified with |
| Work-permit expiry date | Your immigration compliance record | The expiry date only |
| Date connected | The connection itself | When the connection became active |
That is the entire list. Six fields and a date.
From your employment record
Section titled “From your employment record”Everything else the employer sees about you — job title, NOC code, weekly hours, wage, duties, worksite, supervisor, start and end dates, permanence and contract end, full-time or part-time — is recorded by the employer, not read from your account. Those fields are covered in Your employment record.
What the connection never exposes
Section titled “What the connection never exposes”None of the following is part of a workforce connection, and none of it is loaded by the employer workspace:
- Your immigration profile — nationality, family, education, language tests, travel and status history, work history you entered yourself
- Your ImmiReport — program eligibility, CRS or provincial scores, pool position, simulations
- Your documents — everything in your document vault, including the identity documents you used to verify your identity
- Your case — retainers, applications, requirements, timelines, and anything a representative has filed for you
- Consultations and proposals — including whether you have booked one
- Your messages, your Lexi conversations, and your notifications
- Other employers — a connection to one employer reveals nothing about a connection to another
- Your sign-in activity and your account security settings
A second protection sits underneath the consent: the database restricts the employer side of a workforce connection to the organization’s owner and RCIC roles. Other people in the employer’s workspace do not get a row-level read of your connection at all.
How to check what is connected
Section titled “How to check what is connected”- Go to Settings → Associations → Employer.
- Open the Employer section.
- Active lists every connection that is currently live. Each card shows the organization, the date you connected, and — once your employer has recorded them — your job title, the employment period, and whether the relationship is recorded as offered, current, or former.
- Ended lists connections that have been ended or revoked, with the date each one ended.

Withdrawing your consent
Section titled “Withdrawing your consent”You can end a connection yourself, at any time, without asking your employer.
- Go to Settings → Associations → Employer.
- Find the connection on the Active list.
- Select End.
- A confirmation appears, naming the employer. Confirm it.
The moment it completes:
- The connection status becomes ended.
- Both consent scopes are set to
false. - The employer workspace stops loading anything about you — your worker page no longer opens, and you drop off their workforce list.
- Lexpoint emails both you and the person at the employer who set the connection up. Your confirmation email is sent on Lexpoint’s own settings, so an employer cannot switch it off.
- The change is written to an append-only audit record, including the scopes that were in force before you ended it.
What happens to what they already had
Section titled “What happens to what they already had”Ending the connection ends the live view. It does not reach backwards into records the employer authored themselves — the employment episodes they recorded, and any letter they already issued, are the employer’s own business records and remain in their workspace.
That distinction is worth being clear-eyed about. The connection controls Lexpoint’s live read of your account. It is not a delete request for an employer’s own files, and Lexpoint cannot make it into one.

Frequently asked questions
Can my employer see my ImmiReport or my Express Entry score?
No. The employer workspace loads your name, email, profile photo, identity-verification status, work-permit expiry date, and the employment facts the employer recorded themselves. It does not read your immigration profile, your ImmiReport, your scores, your documents, or any case.
Can my employer see my Lexpoint documents?
No. Documents in your account are not part of the workforce connection. The only file the connection produces is a letter you asked for, which your employer issues.
Can I turn off part of what my employer sees and keep the rest?
No. The two consent scopes are granted together when you accept, and there is no per-field toggle. The control you have is all-or-nothing — you can end the connection at any time from Settings, which clears both scopes immediately.
Does my employer find out if I am working with an immigration representative?
Not through this connection. Consultations, proposals, retainers, and cases are outside the link and the employer workspace does not load them.
If I end the connection, does my employer keep what they already had?
They keep the employment records they authored themselves — those are the employer's own records of your job. They lose the live view of your account: your identity-verification status, your permit expiry, and your place on their workforce list.
