Case fees and statements
Settings → Payments is money you owe a firm on a case, on the schedule agreed in your proposal. Your Lexpoint subscription is separate, on Billing and plan.
The page has two tabs: Due and Statements.
Payment schedule — Installments still owed on open cases. Only installments with money still outstanding are listed, grouped by case. The case name links to that case’s payments tab.
Each row shows:
| Column | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Label | The installment — for example Deposit, 2nd Installment, Final Payment, Balance, or the label from your proposal. Extra charges show their own label, or Additional charge. |
| Date | The due date |
| Amount | The installment total, and how much is already paid when it is part-paid |
| Status | Due, Overdue, or Partial |
| Action | Pay →, or Balance → when the installment is part-paid. It opens the case’s payments tab. Additional charges have no button. |
Below the list: Tax invoices (INV-…) issue at checkout. The invoice follows the payment rather than preceding it.
When nothing is outstanding, the tab reads Nothing due — You’re caught up on case fees.
Statements
Section titled “Statements”Case statements — Live fee, payment, and trust ledgers per case — available when your firm publishes them.
Each row shows Case # and the case number, the firm, and the case type. View statement → opens that case’s statement tab.
With nothing published the tab reads No case statements available yet — Your firm will publish each case statement when fee and trust activity is ready for you to review. You cannot publish a statement from settings. If you need one, ask on the case.
Fee invoices
Section titled “Fee invoices”A fee invoice opens at its own page, Statement of Professional Fees. See Payments and invoices. If you open an invoice you are not entitled to see, or one that does not exist, you land on this page instead.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as my Lexpoint subscription?
No. Payments is what you owe a firm on a case. Your Lexpoint subscription is on Settings → Subscription.
Why can I not see a case statement?
Your firm publishes each statement when the fee and trust activity is ready for you to review. Until it does, Statements reads "No case statements available yet". Ask on the case if you need one.
I have an old bookmark to the billing page's payment schedule. Does it still work?
Yes. Old Settings links for the payment schedule or invoices open the Due tab here, and old statement links open Statements.
